An exciting opportunity has opened for a Hard Landscaper to join the Agile Landscapes team

Agile Landscapes Ltd, based in Forest Row, East Sussex, is a successful and fast growing garden landscaping company who are passionate about delivering projects on time and on budget for our clients across Sussex, Surrey & Kent. 

This role will see you working as part of a team of three, with the site foreman and assistant landscaper. This role offers a strong possibility to progress and grow within the business. We work on some fantastic gardens with projects typically lasting between 3-6 weeks.  

You will need some hard landscaping experience; some horticultural knowledge is beneficial; a desire to learn and develop is vital, attitude is everything. 

You will need to be good at communicating and enjoy being part of a close-knit team, whilst being able to show initiative. 

 

Duties

  • Support the Hard Landscaping foreman in day-to-day construction works and garden installations to ensure that your gardens reach their full potential. 

  • Confident to manage the site if the foreman is absent.

  • Ensure all tools, materials and plants are taken to site when required. 

  • Confident to drive a van/tipper to suppliers during the day if more materials are required and need collecting.

  • Ensure that the van is kept clean and tidy with a full set of tools. Reporting any problems immediately. 

  • Communicate effectively with the Foreman to ensure the smooth and timely progression of jobs, highlighting issues that arise. 

  • Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed. 

  • Ensure the site is kept neat and tidy throughout the day. 

  • Attend staff meetings.

You will need: 

  • To have 1-3 years of experience in landscaping/construction – laying paving, groundworks, fencing and decking.  

  • Full UK clean driving licence

  • To be diplomatic, friendly and calm with clients. 

  • Working hours are 0700 - 1600 with an hour for breaks. This is a total of 40hrs per week. 

The Reward: 

  • Excellent salary £23,000 - £25,500
