We are expanding our team and an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Hard Landscaping Assistant to join Agile Landscapes.

Agile Landscapes, based in Forest Row, East Sussex, is a successful and fast-growing garden landscaping company passionate about delivering projects to a high standard, on time, and within budget for our clients across Sussex, Surrey & Kent.

The Hard Landscaping Assistant will work closely with and provide support to the Foreman or experienced hard landscaper. This role is ideal for a proactive individual eager to develop their skills, learn on the job, and contribute directly to the construction of high-quality, bespoke installations.

 

Duties:

  • Support the foreman and experienced hard landscaper in all day-to-day construction and installation works to ensure projects are delivered to a high standard.

  • Ensure all tools, materials and plants are taken to site when required.

  • Ensure that the van is kept clean and tidy with a full set of tools.

  • Reporting any problems immediately.

  • Communicate effectively with foreman or experienced landscaper to ensure the smooth and timely progression of jobs, highlighting issues that arise.

  • Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed.

  • Attend staff meetings.


 

You will need:

  • Positive attitude is essential 

  • Some practical experience in construction or landscaping (e.g., paving, basic groundwork, fencing

  • To be diplomatic and calm with clients.

  • Professional attitude towards work and working with other team members

  • Full clean UK driver’s license is essential..


 

Benefits:

  • Excellent starting salary of £18,000 - £23,000 (dependent on experience).
