Experienced Hard Landscaper 

We are expanding our team and an exciting opportunity has arisen for an Experienced Hard Landscaper to join Agile Landscapes. 

Agile Landscapes based in Forest Row, East Sussex is a successful and fast-growing garden landscaping company who are passionate about delivering projects to a high standard, on time and within budget for our clients across Sussex, Surrey & Kent. 

The skilled hard landscaper will work within the team. The successful candidate will be able to follow drawings and work closely with the project foreman to create the bespoke installations for our clients. The focus of this role is paving and timberwork with a variety of landscaping skills included.

Role:

  • Carry out and manage day-to-day construction works and garden installations to the highest standard.

  • Work with and direct an assistant as necessary.

  • Communicate effectively with the foreman to ensure timely completion of the project, highlighting issues that arise.

  • Liaising with clients and contractors as required, keeping calm, polite and confident.

  • Helping the foreman in collecting materials to site in a methodical and efficient manner to cause minimal disruption to the project's progress.

  • Work to plans provided by our garden designers. 

  • Ensure that the van is kept clean and tidy with a full set of tools. Reporting any problems immediately.

  • Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed.

  • Attend staff meetings

 

You will need:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience working in a hard landscaping environment.

  • Experienced in working off plans

  • To be experienced in garden timber work – decking, pergolas and fencing

  • To be able to take ownership and manage parts of a project efficiently from start to finish within the allocated time frames.

  • To have an excellent eye for detail, carrying out work to the highest of standards.

  • To be highly professional and organised.

  • To be diplomatic and calm with clients.
    Hours of work: 07.30 - 16.30 with 1 hour off during the day split into break and lunch.

  • Professional attitude towards work and working with other team members

  • Please note that a full clean driving license is essential for this role.

 

The Reward:

  • Excellent salary £20,000- 25,000 depending on skills and experience reviewed every six months.
